Studio Pomegranate was started in 2009 during the time when there was a need in Kolkata for a photography studio that had everything: tools, a comfortable space, and experts. There was a needs for a service provider who could do all the heavy lifting from planning to execution to a timely delivery. There were a lot of photography studios in the city, but they were either stuck with limited resources and didn't have a clear vision or professional infrastructure.

The only person who was above it all was the iconic photographer Samir Das, who only did portraits on film and that too in black and white. No one seemed to be able to do everything until Studio Pomegranate came along with photography services that really covered everything.
Pomegranate was started by three individuals who wanted to give Kolkata a unique photography service. We thought it would be best to give our clients a full photography service from under one roof.
We're proud that we can give the best of everything. Photography is about more than just taking a nice picture. It's also about knowing what our clients want and making sure they get it.
